GENERAL

All applicants must fully complete the online application form, pay the nominated fee and agree to the participant agreement before their entry is accepted.

Please check your category, name & date of birth are correct before you complete your online registration.

The Event Crew PTY LTD (TEC) reserves the right, in its reasonable discretion, to deny or disqualify any person from participating or continuing in the Event (either before or during the Event). In these circumstances, TEC will refund the person’s entry fees EXCEPT where the person has:

(a) Misrepresented their eligibility to participate in the Event at the time of entry; or

(b) Breached any of the conditions of entry set out in this form or failed to comply with any event organisers directions or instructions.

Entry fees & registrations are non-transferable from one competitor to another or from one event to another unless by the process outlined on our website. It is forbidden to participate in an event under another competitor’s name. Competitors that do not obey this rule waive all insurance coverage and put other competitors at risk.

By entering, participants acknowledge that participation involves the real risk of serious injury or even death from various causes including over exertion, on and off course accidents, equipment failure, other road users, spectators, course conditions, weather conditions and/or unforeseen circumstances.  All entrants understand that they should not compete in this event unless they have trained the necessary amount and a medical practitioner has verified suitable physical condition. It is each entrant’s sole responsibility to ensure such training and medical verification. Entrants also acknowledge that the leading cause (more than 90%) of non-traumatic sudden death of athletes is related to a pre-existing cardiac abnormality.

By entering this event and competing, participants accept all risks associated from participation that could result in loss of life or permanent injury and agree that The Event Crew Pty Ltd is not responsible or liable for the repair or replacement of any personal possessions whether lost, damaged, stolen or otherwise. Accordingly, you release all people associated with the conduct of this event from and waive all claims whatsoever, and will indemnify them against all liability (including liability for their negligence) for all injury, loss, damage arising out of or connected with participation in this event. The aforesaid release, waiver, indemnity applies to and includes the people such as, but are not limited to The Event Crew Pty Ltd, Moreton Bay Regional Council, Gold Coast City Council, Redlands City Council, Town of Cambridge, Nedlands Council, Stromlo Park  Authority,  Sydney Olympic Park Authority, Sleeman Sports Centre, Gold Coast Performance Centre, Parks Victoria, contracted companies and all public authorities, all employees, agents, sponsors, contractors and volunteers, and other competitors including medical and paramedical staff. This release, waiver and indemnity continue forever and bind my heirs, executors and personal representatives.

Where a person enters a team, they acknowledge that they have sought approval from that person(s) and that the additional person(s) are aware of an understand that by entering this event and competing that they have also accepted these full terms and conditions also.

By agreeing to this waiver, participants consent to receive any medical treatment the event medical team and/or event organiser believes appropriate in the circumstances before, during or after the event.

Entrants consent to the event organisers adding my email address to the event newsletters and agree to receive emails up to the date of my event, after which time the choice can be made to unsubscribe from further emails by using the link within the emails.

Entrants acknowledge and understand that safety precautions undertaken at the event are merely a service to me but are not a guarantee of safety. Entrants will provide event organisers in writing all details of past and present medical or physical conditions that may affect performance or be relevant if medical treatment is necessary.

Entrants consent to event organisers using name, image and likeness, before, during or after the event for event promotional broadcasting or reporting purposes in any media.  Entrants acknowledge that they can advise the company in writing by emailing [email protected] if this is not the case.

Weather affected events: entrants hereby agree that in the event of a race cancellation due to storm, rain, inclement weather, winds or other “Act of God” conditions, or where government bodies mandate the event is not permitted to go ahead because of weather impacted services, entry fees shall be non-refundable.

TEAMS

Team Captains acknowledge that they are signing on behalf of their team members and will ensure that team members understand that they have accepted the waiver in joining the team.

PHO3NIX KIDS TRIATHLON SPECIAL ENTRY CONDITIONS

All children entered in to one of our Pho3nix Kids Triathlons will receive a Pho3nix  Tshirt and Swimming Cap.  It is compulsory for all children to swim wearing the provided swimming cap and to wear the tshirt during the run leg of the triathlon.  Any child that crosses the finish line without wearing the shirt will forfeit their place in both prize giving and end of season point score.

FEES

Incomplete entries or declined payment transactions may incur additional administrative fees.

METHOD OF ENTRY

Race entry via secure online registration only.

EVENT SELL OUT

If an event reaches capacity, a sold-out notice will be posted on the event website whenever possible.  No advance warning is guaranteed.
