Brendon Downey

General Manager

Brendon has been involved in triathlons for over 27 years, initially as a NZ representative. Brendon then moved into a successful coaching career, including guiding Olympic representatives in his role as Sports Development and High Performance Manager of TriNZ. With over 22 years involvement in the delivery large (25,000+ participants) and small scale events, Brendon’s experience in event management is extensive.

Chelsea Downey


With a mixed background across health promotion, sports coaching, community partnerships and business administration, Chelsea brings a diverse set of skills to The Event Crew. Chelsea has a varied role and depending on the time of year can be seen managing all digital content & communications, event partnerships and offering operational support as needed.

Nathan Howard


With a background in brand activation and event delivery throughout South East Queensland, Nathan brings some great operations knowledge to The Event Crew team. Having completed a Bachelor of Event Management, Nathan now coordinates the Operations across The Event Crew’s complete portfolio of events. Now in his fourth season with us, Nathan has a great grasp of all things triathlon!

Donna Noble

Accounts & Administration

Having spent many years working in a customer service role, Donna went on to work within the sport of triathlon as a VIP co-ordinator and as an accounts manager. Donna now works for The Event Crew looking after the books and more recently has stepped in to help out in a support role with Athlete Services and Administration.

Nikki Sega

Athlete Services & Volunteers

Nikki brings her customer service experience and knowledge to our Athlete Services team and keeps not only our customers happy but also our office running smoothly! When not working with athletes and suppliers, Nikki uses her extensive community connections to coordinate our amazing volunteers for our events.
